An U.F.O has landed in our house this week! And strange Martians came out of it J.
As the weather keeps being uncooperative here in Luxembourg, the kids decided to leave planet Earth and build a Martian flying ship with the following material:
- Carton cheese box like “la vache qui rit” here or “formaggini” in Italy
- Green and white Play-dough
- Aluminum foil
- Silver paper
- White scotch tape
- Plastic lid of snack tomatoes package
- Glittery blue paper
- Metal rod
The hardest part is to cut the lid of the cheese box in a zigzag pattern in order to fit the plastic lid and fix it with tape. The box was then covered in aluminum foil, decorated with blue glittery paper, an antenna and it was given “wheels” to land made out of toothpicks and Play-dough. I fixed everything with white duct tape, but you can use glue if you are more patient J
Then the kids let their imagination run to create beautiful Martian: I love the one with multiple eyes!
My son created also a computer and a ladder J
It is really a creative project and not at all difficult, believe me! Have fun!
