We visit often India ( my husband’s Country) so I thought it would be interesting to show you the neighborhoods of Pune a lively, 5 million residents city not far from Mumbai.J
In Pune kids mainly go to sport’s clubs to play or they play cricket in open fields. For the smaller kids though, there are some nice playgrounds like the one pictured above.
2. Local mode of transportation
When we visit, we have a lot of fun riding rickshaws, but the most common way of transportation is the scooter or the motorbike. Cars are getting more and more popular for those who can afford them; otherwise there are always the very crowded buses.
3. Typical house and street nearby
Pune is in constant growth and nowadays the bungalows are been replaced by tall apartment buildings. Unfortunately still about 40% of the population lives in slums.
4. Market, supermarket or other shopping outlet
The place I love to visit most in Pune is the central market where you can find colorful fruit and vegetables, sugar cane and banana leaves. There are also a lot of street vendors and supermarkets are developing in all the city.
We really like to visit India and even if Pune is not a touristic town, we love to mingle in the crowded streets and discover all the different colors and sounds.
Thanks for stopping by!! J
Be sure to check out the other neighborhoods around the world and pay a visit to Annabelle who had this great idea J
