Last week-end we were wishing for some spring in the house with its colorful flowers against the grey of this Luxembourgish winter. So we decided to craft some flowers with paper: they are relatively easy and they resist my not-so-green-thumbJ.
There are many tutorials on internet and we loved the ones for dahlias. It is easy, it takes just a bit of time to make.
We took colored paper, scissors, rule, pencil and a lot of glue. Even daddy worked on it tracing squares on paper that then my daughter cut. We then created many cones gluing together the corners of each square. When I say many is an understatement: really a lot!
To assemble the dahlia we just had to glue the cones in a circle creating different layers. Voilà!
My daughter decided then to create paper flowers her own way. I must say that it is creative J
Spring is not far in our house!
